Acting From Field

A PHENOMENOLOGICAL STUDY OF THE TRANSPERSONAL
EXPERIENCE OF "ACTING FROM FIELD":
THREE CASE STUDIES

A Doctoral Thesis by Gayl Welch

Introduction

Gayl Welch was a student of Martin's for 10 years prior to the completion of her thesis in 1983. During this time and after, she participated in the "ontology" groups.  It is from this early experience  that  she felt motivated to embark on the writing of this dissertation.
In her "ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS" Gayl pays particular thanks to Dee Klocow, whom she considered a special friend. Gayl mentions that Dee had participated with her in many of the experiences and was integral to Gayls' completion of the thesis.

When Dee was contacted, she agreed to share the document that had been entrusted to her on Gayl's passing. It is from this document that the "excerpt"  as well as the interviews were taken.

We, too, would like to express our gratitude to Dee for agreeing to share this legacy document.

We thought it would be useful to emphasize these exchanges since these were confirmed, validated and approved by interviewees and one would expect the comments to be well considered as a consequence. It is with this in mind that the Interviews have been given a separate section.(ed.)

The thesis is available in either Word Document or PDF formats below.
